Location

Punahou School, Honolulu, Hawaii

These presentation boards (30”x40”) were created for a design competition for the Punahou School Grades 3-5 Neighborhood and K-12 Learning Commons. My role included managing 3-5 internal staff who were contributing in different ways to produce images to be used in the various competition exhibits. I was also coordinating the work of a 3-D rendering company and a 3-D printing company that were consultants to us. The competition was a very collaborative process and it took the dedicated efforts of the whole team to create innovative solutions, culturally rich details, and meaningful graphics. I took the lead in mocking up and composing these presentation boards, creating the layout and much of the text. As part of the creative process we had many critiques and pin-ups, so although I was the main person designing the boards, there was an abundance of dialogue and feedback involved and many iterations. We held many team working sessions to critique all aspects of the competition submittal and share ideas. As for the individual images, I had the lead in creating the site plan, building plans, and sectional drawings, however, many of the individual graphics were a collaborative effort.
